​Our tropical nut oil is the result of a selective manufacturing process that uses a specific blend of oils from macadamia nuts, Brazil nuts, almonds, peanuts and coconuts. The unique composition of the various oils is designed to ensure an optimal supply of various essential fatty acids to your parrots.
​The fatty acids contained in the composition have different biochemical characteristics and act in different areas of your parrots' organism. Particular attention is paid to omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of the nervous system and the structure of cell membranes. They potentially show anti-inflammatory properties and play a major role in preventing cardiovascular disease. The coconut oil contained in the mix oil provides a significant amount of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), including lauric acid. These MCFAs represent a beneficial alternative to long-chain saturated fatty acids due to their relatively easy digestion by the bird's organism. In addition, lauric acid is said to have an antimicrobial effect, which further underlines the health benefits of coconut oil.
The careful composition of these different oils aims to provide a balanced spectrum of fatty acids to support your parrots' nutritional needs while optimizing the effects on physiological processes, which can support improved health and resilience.

The nut oil is particularly suitable for the following species: All macaw species, African grey Parrot, Black-headed Parrot, Meyer's Parrot, Cape Parrot, Eclectus Parrots, Palm Cockatoo, Black Cockatoos, Umbrella Cockatoo, Golden Conure, Moluccan Cockatoo, Red-bellied Parrot, Pionites
Mix in 10-20ml per 1kg pellets, 2-3 times a week. Our vital pellets absorb the oils and thus store the essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals of the oil mixture. Mix well and feed completely.

You can also mix our premium nut oil into our hand-rearing food to achieve optimal results. Attention, only suitable for the following species: Hyacinth Macaw, Military Macaw, Palm Cockatoo, Red-bellied Macaw, Black Cockatoos, Green-winged Macaw.
